About Bethany

    I began decorating cakes about nineteen years ago at a local grocery store bakery.  The
    following summer I took a formal cake decorating class at a high school in Nashville.  
    According to my mother, that was "the best $35 she ever spent on me."

    Over the next several years I worked closely with my mother, who is a wedding consultant
    and caterer, and my husband, who is a photographer.  In 2001, my husband's job relocated
    us to Rochester, Minnesota.  Being displaced and away from my family, I wasn't sure I
    wanted to continue in the wedding business.

    After getting settled in Rochester, I found myself decorating again and in 2003, I established
    Beautiful Cakes and Bridals.   

    I completed a Bridal Consulting Diploma program in the Spring of 2005 and am currently a
    member of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC).  I am also a member of International
    Cake Exploration Societe (ICES) and a founding member of Huntsville's Creative Business
    Alliance (CBA).  Membership in these organizations keeps me trained and current with
    wedding and special event trends.

    I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Vanderbilt University.  My degree
    and management experience has given me great resources for running this business.  

    My goal is to provide you with the very best service in a friendly, relaxed, professional
    atmosphere.  I always want my customers to come first - if you feel I haven't done that, I
    want to hear about it!  If I am unable to provide goods or services, I have a reliable network
    of trusted providers that I can refer customers to.  You will find many of them listed on the
    links page.

    We moved in December 2006 to Huntsville, and I have had the pleasure of restarting the
    business again.  I am looking forward to serving the Huntsville area.
