| Q: How many tiers will I need for my wedding cake? A: The number of tiers you will need is determined by the number of guests you plan on serving. A tier consists of two layers of cake, each layer approximately 2" in height. The following chart shows how many servings each round tier will serve. Keep in mind that wedding cake servings are smaller than what would be served for a typical party cake. This guide is based on a piece of cake that is about 2" x 1" and 5" high (iced with frosting in between the layers). A: The price per serving of a wedding cake frosted and filled with buttercream starts at $2.25 ($3.25 for fondant). This price is for a basic cake design. Complexity of design and cake elements such as fondant or gumpaste flowers or bows, ribbon, etc, are additional and priced according to the final cake design selected. Cake fillings (such as fruit or mousse) are an additional $0.25/serving. Q: Can I use sheet cakes to get additional servings needed for a large wedding? A: Yes. Refer to sheet cake prices in our cake brochure. Sheet cakes will be simply decorated with a top and bottom border. Fresh or silk flowers are a nice way to decorate sheet cakes. If a more complex design is desired for sheet cakes, there will be an additional cost. Q: Is there a delivery fee? A: There is no delivery fee for any of our cakes within a twenty (20) mile radius of Huntsville or Fayetteville. There is a delivery fee of $1.00/mile one way for locations beyond this limit. A: In order to provide the very best service to our customers, at this time, we only do one wedding cake or other wedding service in one weekend. In some cases where a wedding occurs on a Friday or Sunday and we already have a Saturday wedding cake scheduled, we may take on this additional wedding cake if the schedule allows, at our discretion. We never want to compromise quality customer service just to get additional business. A: Consultations are done by appointment. We prepare samples fresh just like our cakes so please schedule tasting appointments 2-3 days in advance of your desired date. We can meet at our shop in Fayetteville, or in Huntsville, at Party Plus at 1805 University Drive (at their availability) or we can meet at a location of your choice that is convenient to you.
